San Antonio is home to several military attractions, including:
Lackland Air Force Base: Lackland Air Force Base is the site of basic training for all enlisted personnel in the U.S. Air Force. It is also home to the 37th Training Wing, which provides technical training for a variety of career fields.
Fort Sam Houston: Fort Sam Houston is a U.S. Army base located in San Antonio. It is home to several military units, including the U.S. Army Medical Department and the U.S. Army North.
The Military Intelligence Corps Hall of Fame: The Military Intelligence Corps Hall of Fame is located at Fort Huachuca in Arizona, but San Antonio is home to the Military Intelligence Museum, which houses exhibits and artifacts related to military intelligence.
The National Museum of the Pacific War: The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in Fredericksburg, Texas, about an hour and a half drive from San Antonio. It is dedicated to preserving the history of the Pacific Theater of World War II and includes exhibits on the Doolittle Raid and the Battle of Midway.
